Description: This is a three-hour training that addresses limit setting in the play therapy session. Participants will learn the purpose of limit setting and the importance of balancing limit setting with necessary freedom in the playroom. Participants will learn specific strategies for setting consistent boundaries with clients. Training will specifically address limits that are commonly difficult to set and client populations who are commonly difficult to set boundaries with.
Objectives:

Participants will be able to describe the value of balancing limit setting and freedom for play therapy clients.

Participants will have identified two or more boundaries they would like to improve consistency of in their play therapy office.

Participants will be able identify 3 skills for applying limit setting successfully with clients.
