Description: This is a three-hour training that focuses on understanding and applying the Adlerian Crucial C’s during play therapy sessions. It will cover how to recognize the Crucial C’s as themes during non-directive play, ways to respond and support the Crucial C’s in play therapy sessions, and how to communicate with parents about Crucial C’s.

Objectives:

Participants will be able to define each of the four Crucial C’s including behavioral examples that may be seen during play therapy.

Participants will have learned two play therapy interventions to apply for each of the four Crucial C’s.

Participants will verbalize at least one way to communicate about a child’s Crucial C’s with parents and provide strategies to support positive parenting strategies.
