Laura Lynch, LPC, RPT
About
I was born and raised in Houston, Texas. I obtained my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology at the University of Houston, and my Master’s Degree in Counseling from Houston Baptist University. In my free time, I like to spend time with my family, try new restaurants, travel, do crafts and play board games. I also have 2 dogs and 2 cats whom I adore. Ask me about them, I’ve got pictures!

I believe counseling can be beneficial to anyone. I want to grow and learn with my clients as well as facilitate adaptive growth for them on their unique journeys. My aim is to develop a partnership that will continue to change and develop as we progress.
My Focus: To aid individuals in developing healthy interpersonal relationships, participating in adaptive behaviors, enhancing self-exploration and self-understanding and developing skills for support.
My Areas of Focus:
I have experience working all ages, individuals with Intellectual and Developmental disabilities, neurodivergent individuals (Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder), LGBTQ+ youth and young adults, individuals struggling with anxiety or depression, teens struggling with peer/familial conflict, children of divorce, caregivers/parents and families.

My Technique:
I have an existential foundation, and aim to encourage individuals to build autonomy and self-understanding as they continue to grow and learn throughout their journeys. My theoretical approach with any client is developed on an individual basis. I am well versed in Cognitive-Behavioral therapy, Adlerian, person/child-centered and mindfulness as my core approaches. I am also a Registered Play Therapist, and am trained in many Play Therapy techniques including sandtray, sensory integrated play and art therapy.
